a month agoOne afternoon my husband noticed an antifreeze leak under the front of his truck. Being new to the area he checked with AAA for auto repair places. Bedford Auto Care was the closest with good ratings. He went there and Frank Jr took the truck in right away. The leak was found, a part was ordered. As it was close to closing time and the truck needed to stay overnight to install the part first thing the next morning, Frank Jr even made sure my husband got home safely and back to the shop the next day. My husband said he was treated very fairly Yes, he will go back to Bedford Auto Care in the future and highly recommends Bedford Auto Care to others.

3 years agoHad a breakdown in the area and was calling every shop around and Junior said bring it in I'll do my best to get you back on the road. They went above and beyond finding parts for an older vehicle and got the job done and got me on my way. Overall good experience for a bad day on the road thanks to the staff going the extra mile when no one else would. Thank you very much to everyone there and I would highly recommend!

2 years agoI have been taking my vehicles to Bedford Auto Care for well over a decade. I have always had great experiences at this location! The employees make sure to explain the issues in terms I can understand. They are quick to get my vehicle fixed and back to me! I have recommended them to anyone I know that needs service, including family and friends. Great service, wonderful staff, I would highly recommend taking your vehicle there if you want a fair, honest, and skilled work done for you!

2 years agoCame here with my 09 F-150 to have the leaking rack and pinion replaced. They took the time to show me exactly what went wrong and were transparent at every step. I was happy to support them with my buisness and will do so again.

One of the things that really stood out to me was how thorough and precise they were in their work. Family Owned Auto Repair in Bedford, Ohio
Bedford Auto Care sits at 803 Broadway Ave. The family has been in auto repair since 1966, when JR McGroarty opened Upson Shell in Euclid. Frank took it on in 1998, and the shop moved here in 2003.
It is a real garage: a handful of bays, a counter with the certificates on it, and people who have been doing this long enough to tell you when a repair is not worth doing. Frank Jr., an ASE Master Auto Technician, runs it now.
We work on most of what comes through the door. Daily drivers, work trucks, European cars, diesels and hybrids. The specialties are Ohio E-Check repair and Fluid Film undercoating, and both of those exist because of where we are.

Fluid Film Undercoating in Bedford, Ohio
Ohio winters are hard on frames. Between road salt, the brine they lay down ahead of storms and five months of wet spray, the underside of a vehicle here takes more punishment than the paint ever does.
Fluid Film is a lanolin based coating that does not dry or harden. It creeps into seams a spray gun cannot reach and re-flows over small scrapes instead of cracking, which means it is not sealing moisture in against the metal. Reapplied yearly, ideally in late fall before the trucks run.

No, and this is worth being clear about. The test is carried out at a state E-Check station. We are a repair facility, so we fix what caused the failure and get the vehicle ready for reinspection.
